GUEST COUNT
Guest count, the one element that quite literally affects everything.
It’s important to go into this topic with a realistic guest count. How many guests would we like to host at our wedding? and how will this impact the guest experience we want to provide?
When it comes to florals, guest count helps us provide you with a realistic vision of your reception space. Don’t worry about bringing an exact count however it is important to in the correct range.
FLORAL MUST HAVES
What are some of your must-have floral elements? What are your non negotiable’s? Maybe you have your heart set on a floral installation for your ceremony, or a stairwell moment at the entrance of your reception space. Whatever it is, make sure to communicate this to your florist. Coming into your consultation with clear expectations will provide better clarity between you and your florist.
FLOOR PLAN
The is one element that I find important to guest experience that is often overlooked. As you are touring venues for your special day make sure to ask for sample floor plans.
Are you hoping for all round tables with a large dance floor? Do you want a long king style table for your bridal party and their significant others? and finally how will this floor plan impact your floral design?Does it support the vision that you have in mind? Bringing a floor plan to your consultation is key, so that we may provide you with an accurate depiction of you reception space.
COLOR STORY
This is probably one of our favorite elements of the design process. It does not have to be completed decided on (we are here to help) but it is a great idea to think through color story ideas. How do you want to incorporate color? Is it through your floral, candles, bridesmaid dresses, linens, napkins, draping etc. Are you leaning towards a certain aesthetic? Lush garden style florals, modern and clean/structural blooms? All great things to consider before scheduling your first consultation.
VISUAL BOARD
Last but not least create a visual board. Include everything you love or things that have caught your eye. We love to see it all, a big part of the design process is not just florals. It is about making the day feel like a representation of you and your style and things you love. Each project we take on is custom designed with care. Whether it’s something fun and playful, soft and romantic, or bold and modern, we use flowers to help tell your story. We pay close attention to your vision, your space, and the energy you want to create and then thoughtfully design florals that bring that to life.
