ANEMONES
They symbolize anticipation and serve as a subtle reminder that spring is near. This is a bloom I often add at the end of the design process. It gives a centerpiece its focal point and movement. You have to meet anemones where they are, and when you do, they are truly stunning.
ABOUT ANEMONES
Another winter beauty, Anemones are delicate yet bold. They are known for their dark centers and paper-like petals. Anemones have a way of drawing the eye without overpowering the composition of an arrangement. They can be used as a transition from winter to spring, offering an effortless look with a touch of moodiness.
Pronounced: uh-NEM-uh-neez
Seasonality: Late winter to early spring
Designer’s Tip: Anemones have the ability to grow in water after they’ve been cut (similar to tulips). Their stems tend to be more fragile and naturally curved. To improve vase life, I recommend designing them in a glass cylinder, or when used in arrangements opting for chicken wire rather than foam. This allows for a longer vase life and protects the integrity of their natural curve, giving you a beautiful, organic shape. If you’re looking for a stem with a natural curve, she’s your girl.
DESIGNER’S TIP
EMBRACE THEIR CURVY STEMS AND DESIGN THEM IN FOAM FREE ARRANGEMENTS FOR LONGER VASE LIFE
Why I personally love them: I love the duality this flower brings. It’s both romantic yet bold, effortless yet moody.

HELLEBORES
A beautiful winter flower that blooms when almost nothing else does. It’s like a subtle nod that Spring will be here soon.
ABOUT HELLEBORES
A beautiful winter flower that blooms when almost nothing else does. It’s like a subtle nod that Spring will be here soon.
Seasonality: Late winter to Early Spring
Designer’s Tip: Instead of snipping the ends of your stem vertical, snip in half. Hellebores are thirsty and love the extra hydration.
DESIGNER’S TIP
SNIP YOUR STEM THROUGH THE MIDDLE FOR EXTRA HYDRATION
Why I personally love them: I often use this bloom when designing classic pieces that need just a subtle and elegant pop of color. Hellebores range from soft mauves to deep plums but are also available in white and a soft matcha green. This is the perfect bloom to add when you need a bit of romance and movement in your arrangements. As a multi-bloom stem, it provides depth and texture as well! Personally, I love to style them as is, in a beautiful glass vase next to my coffee station.
HOW TO PREPARE FOR A FLORAL CONSULTATION
It happened! You’re engaged, and you are officially in your Bridal Era (just like Tay)! Congratulations!
First things first hire a planner lol no but really the value is unmatched.

GUEST COUNT
Guest count, the one element that quite literally affects everything.
It’s important to go into this topic with a realistic guest count. How many guests would we like to host at our wedding? and how will this impact the guest experience we want to provide?
When it comes to florals, guest count helps us provide you with a realistic vision of your reception space. Don’t worry about bringing an exact count however it is important to in the correct range.
FLORAL MUST HAVES
What are some of your must-have floral elements? What are your non negotiable’s? Maybe you have your heart set on a floral installation for your ceremony, or a stairwell moment at the entrance of your reception space. Whatever it is, make sure to communicate this to your florist. Coming into your consultation with clear expectations will provide better clarity between you and your florist.
FLOOR PLAN
The is one element that I find important to guest experience that is often overlooked. As you are touring venues for your special day make sure to ask for sample floor plans.
Are you hoping for all round tables with a large dance floor? Do you want a long king style table for your bridal party and their significant others? and finally how will this floor plan impact your floral design?Does it support the vision that you have in mind? Bringing a floor plan to your consultation is key, so that we may provide you with an accurate depiction of you reception space.
COLOR STORY
This is probably one of our favorite elements of the design process. It does not have to be completed decided on (we are here to help) but it is a great idea to think through color story ideas. How do you want to incorporate color? Is it through your floral, candles, bridesmaid dresses, linens, napkins, draping etc. Are you leaning towards a certain aesthetic? Lush garden style florals, modern and clean/structural blooms? All great things to consider before scheduling your first consultation.
VISUAL BOARD
Last but not least create a visual board. Include everything you love or things that have caught your eye. We love to see it all, a big part of the design process is not just florals. It is about making the day feel like a representation of you and your style and things you love. Each project we take on is custom designed with care. Whether it’s something fun and playful, soft and romantic, or bold and modern, we use flowers to help tell your story. We pay close attention to your vision, your space, and the energy you want to create and then thoughtfully design florals that bring that to life.
We can’t wait to connect and plan your dream day with dreamy florals. Drop us a line here!

Your wedding florals should be a true reflection of your style, your love story, and a lasting symbol of your union. In this post, I’m sharing 6 ways to maximize your florals so your wedding feels cohesive, elevated, and unforgettable to you and your guests.
ONE
DUAL PURPOSED-INSTALLATIONS
Tour your venue and search for spaces that may provide a dual-purpose opportunity. What makes your venue unique? Maybe a stairwell, mantle, or bar. This mantle installation served as a backdrop for both the ceremony and reception, making it a statement piece.
TWO
ELEVATE YOUR HEAD TABLE
Another high traffic area? Your dance floor. With your head tables often framing your dance floor, this is the perfect opportunity to draw attention towards the center of the room. Elevate your head table by incorporating high and low florals, a cascade, or heavy candles.
THREE
INVEST IN VERSATILE DESIGNS
It’s important to know that not all florals can be re-purposed. Anything designed onto a large structure typically won’t transition well. What does transition well? Pieces like ceremony altars or aisle florals are extremely versatile. Pop them on a mantle, or in front of your sweetheart table for all day use.
FOUR
MIXED CANDLES
Add a mixture of candles to your reception space. Nothing screams romance and elegance like a properly lit reception space. We love incorporating a mix of pillar, tapered, and votive candles for a stunning reception.
FIVE
DON’T SKIP THE SMALL TOUCHES
Yes guest tables are important but the bar will leave an impression. Don’t forget high traffic areas like an entry piece, welcome sign, and of course the bar! Having a floral element in these areas provide a cohesive and intentional approach to the event.
SIX
CONSIDER A TOUCH OF COLOR
We know, white florals are timeless and classic. However, consider adding a touch of color for a bit of dimension. Let the season guide you and focus on natural tones. Some of our favorites include dusty blue hydrangeas, green hanging amaranths, or mauve hellebores. A touch of color can elevate your design and create a pop on large installations.
